I am transpersonal therapist, international seminar and workshop facilitator, and author with over thirty years of experience in my field.

I was born in Montreal, Canada, in 1959, and was educated at Champlain College, John Abbott College (D.E.C., Health Sciences, 1979) and Concordia University (English literature). In my early 20s I embarked on an exhaustive path of investigating metaphysical, esoteric, and transformational schools of thought, followed by a thorough exploration of the various therapies born out of the human potential movement. I also studied martial arts (shito-ryu karate and wing chun kungfu), as well as Buddhism and raja yoga. I first traveled to Asia while in my mid-20s, wandering for months through India, Nepal, and the Tibetan plateau, staying variously in Buddhist monasteries and Indian ashrams. After returning to Canada I graduated from a transpersonal facilitator training program in 1988, and since then have worked as a personal growth facilitator. I've had a number of transpersonal influences, studying and practicing in many traditions, including the Gurdjieff Work, the Western esoteric tradition, Gnosticism, Kabbalah, A Course in Miracles, a decade as a disciple of the Indian mystic Osho, many forms of depth psychology and therapy, and most major Eastern pathways, including Tantra, Zen, Tibetan and Theravadin Buddhism, and Advaita. In 1993 I co-founded Clearmind Institute (now Clearmind International) with Duane O'Kane, and was co-director for its first two years. In 1995 I founded Shamballa Trainings, a mystery school based on an eclectic blend of inner work, which I ran for seven years, working intensively with several hundred students during that time. Between 2002 and 2004 I conducted formal satsang meetings in the Advaita tradition in Vancouver and in three locations in Washington state. Since 1998 I've given talks and workshops in cities such as London, New York City, Tel Aviv, Berlin, Stuttgart, Vienna, Klagensfurt, Palma de Mallorca, Toronto, Seattle, Calgary, Fort McMurray, Ottawa, Vancouver, and the Sunshine Coast of British Columbia, teaching variously ACIM, the Gurdjieff Work, Tantra, the Enneagram, meditation, the Western esoteric tradition, manifestation trainings, and men's groups (the Arka Brotherhood). I've authored seven books (A Natural Awakening, The Three Dangerous Magi, Rude Awakening, The Inner Light, The Way of the Conscious Warrior, The Dancing Sorcerer, and Going Within in a Time of Crisis). Since 1984 I have resided in Vancouver, Canada.
