Since 1987 I've made my living as a transpersonal therapist and transformational workshop facilitator. I work both locally (in Vancouver, Canada, where I live) and internationally. A number of my clients are long-distance (phone sessions, or via Skype, are very effective). I draw on close to thirty years of experience counseling to provide in-depth work for both individuals and couples. For more information, contact me.
My main teaching work ultimately boils down to what I call 'deep awakening', which is concerned with an elaboration of Ramana Maharshi's essential 'Zen koan' Who am I? Ultimately all transformational work reduces to this -- along with the essential second question, 'What am I to do with my life?' Everything we deal with on the journey to awakening is psychological resistance to uncovering truth, and in the process, uncovering our almost endless capacity for self-deception and the avoidance of truth. To that end, my work focuses especially on the blocks to awakening, and in particular, the more difficult elements of the ego, known sometimes as the 'Blind Spots', or the 'Chief Feature'. This is the part of our personality that is largely responsible for blocking, aborting, or sabotaging all our intentions or efforts to live a more richly fulfilling live on all levels -- wisdom, fullness, clarity, peace, abundance.
My main teaching vehicles are lectures, private sessions (one hour via phone or Skype, 90 minutes in person, in which I draw on many years of experience to utilize teachings and tools in the service of healing, growth, and awakening), as well as long and short term trainings, and weekend workshops. I also regularly give talks in Vancouver as well as in other cities.
